SquadX has a mobile app for your players. It is where they see what is on, tell you whether they are coming, and keep their own details. Players only use the phone, and only the parts meant for them, so there is nothing for them to get lost in.
Getting players in
A player joins a team with the team's invite code, entered in the app. You do not create an account for them, and they do not need an email invite. See Inviting your team for the code.
What players see and do
- Their schedule. Upcoming sessions, games and events, on their phone. It is the schedule you set in the calendar.
- RSVP. For each session or game, a player marks whether they are attending. If they are not, they give a reason. You see it, so you know who is coming before you plan the drills.
- Match check-ins. A short check-in before each match and another after it. See Recording a match for what they answer and when.
- Their profile. Their own details, kept up to date by them.
- Notifications. Reminders and updates, so a change of plan does not get missed.
Introducing the app to your team
Players answer when they understand why. The Introducing the Player App to your team guide gives you a short script for the first conversation: what the app is for, how long the check-ins take, and who sees the answers.
What it does for you
The RSVPs are not a separate list to read. They flow straight into the attendance you see on the Roster and into your Analytics dashboard, with nothing to chase or type in twice. You get the picture of who is turning up without doing the admin yourself. Their match check-ins go one step further: Coach Lucas reads them and writes your match brief.
Players join with the team code in the app, not an email invite. If a player is stuck, it is almost always because they were sent the wrong thing. Send them the team code.
