Methodology
TEN RIGHT DRILLSBEAT TWO HUNDRED.
Every coaching tool gives you more drills. None tell you which ten to run this week, in this phase, for these players. SquadX is built the other way around — the method first, the drills second. The method comes from Gintaras Savukynas, EHF Master Coach — and it's what Lucas, your AI assistant coach, runs on.
Pre-season 2026 · plan the next eight weeks with the method, not from a blank page
The belief
MORE DRILLS WAS NEVER
THE PROBLEM.
The web is full of drills. It's empty on how to use them. The coach's enemy isn't a shortage of content — it's Tuesday at 21:30, three folders open, still deciding what to run tomorrow. More drills makes that worse.
What most tools hand you
- A search bar.
- Two hundred drills, sorted by nothing that matters.
- Every decision still yours, every week, from zero.
What a method hands you
- The right drills, in the right order.
- For this week, of this phase, of this season.
- The decision already shaped — you adjust, not start over.
The system
A PRE-SEASON IS A STRUCTURE.
Every drill earns its place because of where it sits. Four levels, each deciding the one below.
01 / PLAN
WHERE THE TEAM
IS GOING.
The arc of pre-season — to match one.
From the first June session to the first match that counts. The pre-season phases and your peaking target for match one. Everything below hangs off this one decision.
02 / PHASE
WHAT THIS BLOCK
OF WEEKS IS FOR.
Each phase carries its own load.
Prep 1: high volume, low intensity — build the base. Prep 2: volume holds, intensity climbs. By match one: sharpened and season-ready. Not the same week repeated eight times.
— VOLUME — INTENSITY peaks at match one
03 / SESSION
WHAT TUESDAY
NIGHT IS FOR.
One objective, built in blocks.
Warm-up → technical → tactical → game. Intensity set against the phase, not picked the night before. The structure repeats; the content adapts to the week.
04 / DRILL
THE REPS THAT
SERVE THE SESSION.
Chosen for the objective — not for novelty.
Each drill carries its purpose, intensity and coaching points. Pulled from a handball-specific library, curated against the method — not a search result you have to vet at 21:30.
Why a method holds up
SIX RULES UNDER
EVERYTHING.
Method over volume
Ten drills used at the right moment out-coach two hundred with no philosophy.
Sequenced to the season
The plan follows the coaching calendar — pre-season, week, match — not a feature menu.
Elite review, named
Every plan traces back to Gintaras's methodology and his review. Not hidden in a model — the model is grounded in it.
Load tracked, not guessed
Training load is tracked across the week, not judged from feel — so players peak, not break.
The phone is the device
Built where coaches actually work — parking lot, bus, sideline. Not a desktop tool.
History follows the player
One profile from U12 to senior. When a player moves up, their record moves with them.

Why Lucas isn't generic AI
GENERIC AI PREDICTS TEXT.
LUCAS RUNS ON A METHOD.
You never start from a blank page. You start from a plan the method already shaped — the right phases, the right session structure, drills that fit. Then you adjust for your players, your hall, your week.
Lucas, your AI assistant coach, does the assembling and the personalizing — pulling the right pieces, flagging load risk, saving you the search. He doesn't invent the method. Every plan traces back to Gintaras's methodology and his review. The assistant speeds you up. The coaching is still a coach's responsibility.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DEPTH.
U14 REALITY.
There's no good reason a U14 coach in Trondheim should have less methodology than a Bundesliga assistant. The knowledge always existed. The barrier was distribution and curation — not talent, not budget. SquadX closes that gap.
One method, scaled to you — dialed to the time, the age, and the players in front of you.

The coach behind the method
"The coach with ten well-chosen drills, used at the right moments, will out-coach the coach with two hundred and no philosophy."
