Players should not have to open the app every day to know what is on. SquadX tells them when something changes, so the schedule in their pocket is always the current one.
What players are notified about
Notifications come from what you do as a coach. A player hears about it when:
- A session or match is added to their schedule.
- One is changed or moved.
- One is cancelled.
- They are invited to a team.
The badge
The app shows a badge when there is something new, so a player can see at a glance that the schedule has moved, without hunting for what changed.
Why it matters
The most common reason a player turns up at the wrong time, or not at all, is a change they did not see. Because every change you make reaches them on their phone, "I didn't know" stops being a reason. You change the plan once, and everyone has it.
