Five checks before every match that catch the problems no tactical plan can fix. Tick through it, then copy it straight into your team chat.

1. Who is actually fit to play?Not the roster on paper: the real state of every player. Knocks carried out of the last session, illness, sleep, energy. Ask before the warm-up, not after the first turnover.2. Who is carrying a heavy week?A player at the top of their training load plays the first half well and disappears in the second. Know who is loaded before you plan their minutes.3. Does the team know the one focus?One clear priority for this match, said in one sentence, and every player can repeat it. Three focuses is zero focuses.4. Roster, kit and logistics locked?Lineup submitted, licenses in the bag, both kits packed, hall time confirmed, warm-up plan assigned. The dumb stuff loses matches too.5. Their two biggest threats, and who owns each?Name the opponent's two most dangerous players or patterns, and name which of your players or pairings is responsible for each. A threat nobody owns scores.
