    The Drill Library

Where you find handball drills, filter them, and add your own.

    Updated Jun 22, 2026

The Drill Library is where most coaches start in SquadX. It is a catalogue of handball drills, each with a description, a category, a duration and often a video, so you can build a session without inventing every exercise from scratch.

What the library is built on

The library is shaped by Gintaras Savukynas's coaching methodology, not by chasing the biggest possible number of drills. Each drill is there to train something specific at the right point in the season. The volume is kept manageable on purpose, because a long list you never read is not an asset.

    Practical rule

A coach with ten well-chosen drills used at the right moments will outwork a coach with two hundred and no plan behind them. The library is built to help you choose, not to bury you.

    How a drill is organised

    Each drill carries:

    • A category for what it trains, so you can find the right work for the day.
    • A duration in minutes, so a session adds up to the time you actually have on the court.
    • An age group, so the drill fits the players in front of you.
    • A video, where seeing it run is clearer than reading it.

    Finding the right drill

Filter the library by category, age group and length. Start from what you want the session to achieve, then pull the two or three drills that get you there. You are choosing for a purpose, not filling time.

Your own drills sit beside ours

You are not limited to the built-in library. You can add your own drills: the club's standard warm-up, the goalkeeper work you always run, the shooting series you trust. Your drills live alongside the SquadX ones and behave the same way, so you can mix both inside a single session.

From a drill to a session

A drill on its own is a building block. The point is to drop it into a session with timing and order, then onto the right day in your plan.
