sRPE = session minutes x RPE, in arbitrary units (AU). Ask players for their RPE about 30 minutes after the session, not straight off the court.
How to read it
- sRPE is the simplest squad-wide load measure: minutes x effort. It will not be perfect, but collected every session it shows the trend that matters.
- The spike check compares this week to what the squad is used to, the same idea as ACWR. Injuries get cheap when load jumps far past what players are prepared for, not when load is simply high.
- For youth teams, most coaches simplify further: attendance plus how the group looked. The principle is identical, raise load gradually.
- One week is a snapshot. The value is in the season-long training load picture, per player, next to match minutes and injuries.
This is one week, typed by hand. SquadX tracks load per player automatically, every session, and Lucas flags who is trending toward trouble. Free until 1 September, then €19.90/mo.
